Jaguar Wrestling Leauge is an upstart promotion currently running its first tournament to crown champions. The owner is Jeremy Shaw or Jaguar as he is know to fans of internet wrestling in the mid-2000s. He has taken a hands on approach to curating talent and refereeing the matches. The Championship belts are set as follows:
World Championship
- Your main title that headlines the promotion. A belt focused on main event style wrestling.
DQ
20 Count
60 Minute Time Limit
Defended last show of the month
United States Championship
- This will be known as the "workers" belt. Technique and skill are the focus with this title.
DQ
20 Count
30 Minute Time Limit
Defended 2nd and last shows of the month.
Television Championship
- This is the anything goes Championship. 15 Minute time limit to go balls to the wall and throw everything out there.
No DQ
No Count Out
No Rope Break
15 Minute Time Limit
Defended every show
Tag Team Championship
- Two on two standard rules no gimmicks. The best of the best duos square off for this one.
DQ
20 Count
60 Minute Time Limit
Defended last show of the month
Trios Tag Team Championship
- 3 on 3 scramble rules. No tags, no rules, non-stop action.
No DQ
No Count Out
No Rope Break
30 Minute Time Limit
Scramble rules
Defended 1st and last show of the month
First tournament is for the Television Title. They're running a medium sized studio similar to full sail in NXT. The plan is to run the US Championship and Tag Team Championship tournaments there as well. This is likely the big monthly venue. The Trios Championship Tournament will be run in a smaller hall which is likely where the weekly shows will be held. The World Championship tournament is looked to take place in the big dome. The rumor is Hulk Hogan feels his big return to the ring should be in a huge big time building. The company is not likely to run the dome more than a few times a year if that.
The word in the industry is that with Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash making their way to this new Leauge they'll attempt a hostile takeover. With 2KW under fire over the rape and murder their future is in jeopardy. Vince McMahon is looking to get out of that business anyway. JWL is where the new money is in the business and Hogan is not stupid. If they can come in and hold all the belts they'll be making the majority of talent money on the purses alone. Guys like Sting looking for a place to work and keep business healthy are as resistant now as they were in WCW.
